Let me lead off by saying: I really don’t like red velvet cake. For me, it’s just really weak chocolate cake with some window dressing, but for this project, I challenged myself to find a version I actually liked. And, while it’s still not in my top-10 list for cake flavors by any means, the New York Times recipe is not half bad.
And I love how the decoration came out, especially since I got to utilize all the cake leftover from levelling.
