This cake, modeled after the athletic bag the University of Georgia Men’s Ultimate B team carries to tournaments, was a bit of a structural challenge. I ended up making the back support out of foam core and the frisbees from rice krispies treats because the cake wouldn’t support those kind of freestanding shapes.
I love how it came out in the end, though. The level of detail was high enough that the boys recognized it as their bag, and the hand painting on the discs came out really well.
